North beach at Helgoland in winter
This second image was taken at the north beach at Helgoland and basically represents the best (and only longer) trip of 2025. Grey seals particularly like to lie there in winter, as there are fewer tourists. Pups are also born here, so caution is advised when entering the area. That's why there's a warning sign, which I learned by being yelled at by a grey seal mom.
