April 2026

In April, I often try to catch up on work or the pictures I took in January.

This picture was actually taken in the Summer on a day I went out early before dawn to find some wild deer.
Actually, I found a deer, but was not careful enough, and it saw me and vanished into a small forest.
After many long minutes of trying to carefully find it again, I found this bird grooming itself in the early sunlight.
I slowly crept closer and positioned myself so that the branches and leaves in the back glow with the early light.
Luckily, I also managed to find an angle in which the feathers also start glowing a bit.

These two sheep are actually on the top of the rock at Helgoland.
I saw them during the storm early in 2025 and they were blocking my way.
After taking a few pictures and having them observe trying to pass them, I decided to just turn around and to choose a different path.
I am pretty sure they were judging me for trying to walk during these winds.
