With this month we are entering a controversial topic and also the reason for not making the calendar a commercial product. This picture was taken at the animal park Lüneburger Heide and this raccoon is an animal of the park. I support efforts that are made to preserve and support nature as well as educate people on the responsibility every one of us has to tread animal and nature with respect. However, I condemn approaches that showcase animal just for show and profit. On this, I elaborate more on this in the section about parks and nature preservation efforts.

This picture was chosen for this month specifically, since raccoons are the favorite animals of my Mom.

This is a raccoon of the animal part Lüneburger Heide. I have visited this park very often with my family, and this is also the place where I started taking pictures more frequently and developed my passion for it. More details about the park are given in the parks section. Raccoons are one of the favorite animal of my mom, hence this is in my calendar.
