Waving Harbor Seal
This is a harbor seal, which I photographed on Wangerooge. That was the first time I walked with my large lens on that trip, and after less than 20 minutes, I saw this seal lying on the west side. It was lying on top of the storm protection and didn't seem bothered by anyone. Several passersby walked past, and because of the narrowness of the area, there wasn't really any way to get out of its way, which did not bother it much. I sat near the animal for a while and watched it because I couldn't believe it was so easy to find these animals on the island in November.
